Braille is a system widely used by people with sight impairments. Braille is a tactile writing system.  Braille has an intersting history.  It is based upon a writing system invented under the rule of Napoleon so soldiers could communicate silently without the aid of a light. Each Braille character is made of of six dot positions, for a total of sixty-four combinations.
